Singer Falguni Pathak’s Borivli event, for instance, will reward the best performer with a car. “Pushpanjali Navratri is offering a Hyundai car to the best performer over the 10-day festival. There will be prizes in different categories,” said Sadiya Khan, Pathak’s representative.

The Naidu Club Navratri in Borivli is giving away bikes to the best dancers.

“We will be giving out bikes as the first and second prizes. We will spend around Rs 60,000-70,000 on each winner,” said Ganesh Naidu, one of the organisers.

Dandiya organisers have also been distributing daily prizes for the best-dressed dancer, best daily performer, best dancing couple and the most stylish dancer.

“The best performer and our Radhe-Krishna Jodi (best couple) would be sent on a Singapore trip. They will also get mobile phones and a yearly gym membership,” said Chetan Gour of Alivekraft Events, that is organising Meera’s Navratri in Borivli.
