MUMBAI: The city witnessed a 20% water cut on Monday – not because of paucity of water, but owing to work on the tunnel between Gundavli and Kapurbawdi.

MUMBAI: The city witnessed a 20% water cut on Monday – not because of paucity of water, but owing to work on the tunnel between Gundavli and Kapurbawdi.

The water supply across the city will be reduced on August 23, 26-28, 30, 31 and September 1. On these days, areas at the end of the supply chain, higher floors and elevated areas will receive water at a lower pressure. The tunnel has been under construction for four years, said civic officials.
