In the monthly review meeting on Saturday, civic chief Ajoy Mehta directed the legal department to find such law graduates by paying them remuneration for their work.
While the fines collected from violators range from Rs2,000 to Rs 10,000, the remuneration for new lawyers will range from 5% to 10% of the fines collected, said sources.
Meanwhile, a scam-hit BMC has finally released the tender reforms to bring in transparency in contracts.
Besides geo-tagging, the BMC is looking to introduce uniform tender conditions and streamlining of the defect liability period, which refers to contractors’ responsibility to repair a completed project within a fixed period.
