MUMBAI: A 32-year-old man was booked for allegedly assaulting a traffic warden and a traffic police constable in Andheri (West). The incident occurred on Thursday night outside Andheri railway station on SV Road when the traffic warden asked an auto-rickshaw driver to wait and allow other vehicles to move towards Borivli, for smooth movement of traffic.
The police said the accused Shakeel Ibrahim Jariwala, boarded an auto heading towards his home in Jogeshwari. “Jariwala verbally abused the warden and asked the driver to go ahead. The auto got stuck on the middle of the road. Jariwala got got off the auto and started abusing the warden and then assaulted him and traffic constable,” said an officer.
