18-yr-old held for molesting collegian in Ghatkopar
An 18-year-old tailor, Rizwan Khan, was arrested for allegedly molesting a 19-year-old girl on Saturday evening.
An 18-year-old tailor, Rizwan Khan, was arrested for allegedly molesting a 19-year-old girl on Saturday evening.
The victim, a student of SYBcom at Jhunjhunwala College, was walking towards her institute near Naityanand Nagar.
Khan and his friend were standing on the sidewalk and saw her go.
When the victim passed by them, the boys teased her saying she has a mustache and allegedly caught hold of her arm.
The girl at that time went to her college but when she returned, her parents questioned her as she was looking disturbed.
She then told them about the incident and then her parents went to look for the boy.
They gathered the other people of the locality who nabbed Khan.
His friend identified only as Danish, managed to escape.
The residents then informed the police who immediately reached the spot and arrested Khan.
"We have arrested Khan on the charges of molestation as he had caught the victim's hand with an intention of molesting her," said C.V. Zendekar, senior inspector of Ghatkopar police station.
The police are now looking for Danish.
