At Jai Hind College in Churchgate, principal Ashoka Wadia said there would be a list of “a few students” for the BMM and BMS courses, while at RA Podar College in Matunga, there will be second merit lists for both Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and BMS.
At National College in Bandra, the vacancy rate was around 50%, while at Hinduja College at Charni Road, the vacancy rate was around 25% across courses. At St Andrew’s College in Bandra, there are still 70 seats left for BMS and 42 seats for BMM.
However, principals have warned that the cut-offs would hardly vary. “The cut offs will fall marginally as there are a lot of students at every mark,” said Shobhana Vasudevan, principal of RA Podar College.
While Monday was the last day for those whose names had appeared on the first list to pay their fees, students on the second merit list will have until Thursday to pay their fees. The final merit list will be declared on Thursday evening.
With the Common Entrance Test (CET) results for engineering and medicine out on Friday, principals expect students to withdraw their BSc admissions and apply for professional courses.
