Lorianne and his wife, Sanchika Marianne Goats, 46, residents of Munich in Germany, were on a visit to Mumbai since December 6, the police said.

“Around 11.30 pm on Saturday, Sanchika found her husband in an unconscious state in room 73 of the hotel at Ballard Pier where the couple had been staying since December 6. She informed the manager of the hotel who summoned a local doctor. Meanwhile, the hotel informed the police and we rushed the body to St George Hospital,” said senior inspector Padmakar Juikar.

Goats was declared dead on admission at the hospital.
