The designated court granted bail to Shingane on the surety of Rs 25,000. The bail order came after his counsel, Vaibhav Bhagade’s arguments that probe was completed and no interrogation of his client was necessary.
Shingane was caught red handed on December 31 in his Worli office while accepting a bribe from the lawyer. The ACB said the lawyer has a farm house in Pune district, and had filed a complaint with the charity commissioner’s office alleging a trust had registered itself on the property.
