A 31-year-old aspiring model, Natasha Padbidri, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her Versova apartment on Sunday morning.

The police said that Natasha depressed and was undergoing treatment. Natasha’s mother Roza and her two brothers, who stay in the same building, found her hanging. Natasha lived on the fifth floor of Pelicon building at Yari Road in Versova. Her mother and two brothers used to stay on the ground floor of the same building. Padbidri’s family told the police, that they had dinner together on Saturday night after which Padbidri went back to her flat, where she used to stay alone.

On Sunday, Padbidri’s mother called her on her mobile phone but her calls went unanswered. Her mother and brother then knocked on the door but there was no response. They called a keymaker to open the door. When they entered the apartment they found her dead. They rushed her to Cooper Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.

“We have not found any suicide note from her residence. We do not suspect any foul. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained,” said Senior Police Inspector Suresh Nalavade.
