Patil signalled Methe to halt his bike. Methe slowed down and as he approached Patil, he allegedly accelerated and tried to flee. “In the process, he rammed his bike into Patil, who sustained injuries to his left leg. Patil noted down the bike’s registration number,” said senior police inspector Bhimrao Rathod.

Police traced Methe to his residence at Deonar.
