Bizman held for sexual assault on 11-year-old

The victim and the accused are from the same village in Mysore and are distant relatives, the police said. She was allegedly brought to the city by the accused a month ago and was working as a domestic help in his house, the police said.

According to the police, the accused lives with his brother in Amritnagar, Ghatkopar (West) and works in an industrial unit run by his brother near the residence.

“Around four days ago, the brother of accused along with his family had gone to Gujarat. Only the accused and the girl were at home which is when he sexually assaulted her,” said Suresh Sakpal, senior police inspector, Parksite police station.

Sakpal added the accused also allegedly threatened the girl not to tell anyone about it. The incident allegedly came to light after the girl spoke up against the sexual assault and narrated the entire ordeal to a girl living in her neighborhood, who in turn informed the police.

The police arrested the accused immediately. The girl was sent to Rajawadi hospital where she was medically examined on Monday.
