On Saturday, Vikesh - son of Mangilal Deshmal Jain - who deals with foreign exchange, took Rs3 lakh from home for some business-related work. Around 1.30pm, a girl informed Jain that his son Vikesh had been kidnapped and warned that he should not approach the police.

Jain, however, reported the matter to the Dadar police station. During investigation, it was learnt that Vikesh had fought with his family members on Saturday morning. On the same day, using fake documents, Vikesh got a local train season ticket. Using the railway identity card, he booked air tickets and left for Thiruvananthapuram on the same day.

The crime branch learnt that he had flown to Goa from Thiruvananthapuram and was to return to Mumbai on Tuesday. As he landed, the police team picked him up for questioning. Vikesh allegedly revealed that he had left home owing to a fight.
