Opposition leaders in the Legislative Assembly and Council and MPs from Maharashtra will accompany Chavan to Singh’s office.
Chavan will seek monetary help from the national disaster relief fund because the state does not have enough amount to disburse to farmers who have suffered crop loss of 50% or more.
The state has announced a relief package of Rs 1,000 crore, which is likely to increase by Rs 60 crore as per hectare compensation for paddy was increased at Wednesday’s cabinet meeting.
