CM to skip review meet
Setting aside the tradition started by his predecessor Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister Ashok Chavan will skip the divisional Kharif crop review meeting on Friday.

Setting aside the tradition started by his predecessor Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister Ashok Chavan will skip the divisional Kharif crop review meeting on Friday.
Chavan is apparently avoiding visiting the second capital after a section of Congress leaders opposed his anti-Vidarbha stand during a party function some time back, political sources said.
State Agriculture Minister Balasaheb Thorat will chair the meeting. Due to poor monsoon, there was a drop of 35 per cent in Kharif yield, sources said.
