Cops bust Rs 97 lakh toll collection scam
Bogus receipts of toll tax worth Rs 97.81 lakh were seized and 25 people were arrested following a raid at a collection booth on Mumbai-Hyderabad highway on Saturday, police said.

Bogus receipts of toll tax worth Rs 97.81 lakh were seized and 25 people were arrested following a raid at a collection booth on Mumbai-Hyderabad highway on Saturday, police said.
A special squad, jointly constituted by the Osmanabad district collector Praveen Gedam and Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Darade, raided the Yenagur toll collection center at Omerga tehsil. The tender to recover toll from vehicles on the highway was with Dhulia-based KG Agro Processor Private Limited.
The raid was carried out following a complaint from a truck driver about alleged beating by staff at a toll collection centre, police said.
