The Subordinate Engineers’ Association has given a call for three-day statewide strike for their pending demands from December 14.

Electricity supply is expected to be affected throughout the state because of the strike. The association have given an intimation letter of agitation to the managing director of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company, Maharashtra State Electricity Production Company and Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company regarding their nine pending demands on November 15.

The pending demands include two additional annual increments in the pay scale, stopping privatisation of electricity distribution through the medium of distribution franchise and stopping the privatisation of small Thermal Power Project.
