Four armed men loot courier company owner on highway
The owner of a courier company was robbed of cash and valuables worth at least Rs 50 lakh on the Western Express Highway on Friday afternoon.

Mahesh Kumar Sharma (48), owner of Ashok Courier Services, was driving to the airport in his Chevrolet Spark. He was to take a flight to New Delhi.
When Sharma was crossing Teacher’s Colony, another vehicle overtook his car and accosted him.
Four men got out of the car got down and threatened Sharma with a chopper. They snatched his bag and fled.
Sharma approached the police and registered a complaint.
“We are preparing the sketches of the four accused based on the description Sharma has given,” said Police Inspector, Dayanand Taral, from Kherwadi police station.
A police officer requesting anonymity said the robbery appeared to be the job of an insider because the accused knew when Sharma was to leave his house for the airport. “According to initial investigations, it seems the robbers had been following Sharma,” the officer said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (zone 8), Brijesh Singh, said a case of robbery has been registered.
“The victim has yet not disclosed the exact amount he was carrying,” Singh said.
