The institute became a deemed university in 2008. Its admission process was conducted by the state’s Directorate of Technical Education.

The institute offers courses in pharmacy and chemical engineering and has 240 seats.

“We wanted to start our classes early. We get about 3000 applications which the institute can process,” said GD Yadav, director of the institute.

Admission to 70 % of the seats will be based on scores in the state entrance test (MH-CET) while 30 % of the seats will be for students who took the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE).

The undergraduate admission process will from June 6 and end on July 5. Classes will begin from July 11. Students can visit the institute’s website www.ictmumbai.edu.in.
