Jigna, who turned 39 on Tuesday, has lost a lot of weight and looked pale after spending three months in custody. She has developed dark circles under her eyes, and her once bright face and broad smile have been replaced with a morose look.
Wearing a blue and green salwar suit, Jigna made a quiet entry into the court and stood in a corner. Her family members sat on the last bench. After the court formalities were over and the police had submitted the charge sheet, she hugged them and said softly: “I am innocent and have been falsely implicated.”
The family members and a team of lawyers then managed to get her out of the courtroom into a quiet corner, where she was allowed to speak to her lawyers.
