Man arrested for obscenity

The Kurar police arrested a 23-year-old man on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting and misbehaving with three girls, aged between between four and six years, on the pretext of teaching them dance moves.

The Kurar police arrested a 23-year-old man on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting and misbehaving with three girls, aged between between four and six years, on the pretext of teaching them dance moves. Sandip Kewde has been remanded to judicial custody.

The police said, at 1 pm Kewde called the girls at his house and switched on the tape recorder. He was dancing and when the girls refused, he beat them up. “The mother of two of the victims, who was looking for them, found them at Kewde’s house. On seeing the woman, Kewde stripped,” said an officer. The woman and neighbours handed Kewde over to the police.
