A 27-year-old man was arrested on Thursday night for killing his wife, suspecting her of having an extra-marital affair.

The woman Yasmeen Sayyed, 21, was reportedly four months pregnant and died on her way to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital.
A case of murder has been registered against Abdul Sayyed, who allegedly stabbed his wife with a knife on Thursday evening.
“The couple got married in 2008. Sayyed was in Muscat for two years and came back to India this year. He suspected his wife was in another relationship,” said police inspector P D Patil. A few days ago, Sayyed filed a complaint with the assistant commissioner of police saying that his wife will be filing a false complaint against him.
The accused was produced in court on Friday and has been remanded in police custody till June 27.
