PI Arun Jagtap, Railway Police, Kalyan, said constable Chetan Rajendra Choudhari, 26, attached to Kanjurmarg police station and Sanjay Hiralal Jaiswal, 33, were travelling on the Kasara-CST local recently.

Both had boarded the compartment reserved for the handicapped. However, some handicapped commuters inside the compartment objected to this and asked Jaiswal to leave the compartment at the next station as he was not a handicapped. This resulted in a fight between Jaiswal and the commuters.

Jaiswal, nevertheless alighted at Khardi station, but once the train started to leave the platform, he picked up a stone and flung it inside the compartment. The stone hit the constable under his left eye and on the hand. The commuters immediately pull the chain and caught the accused and handed him over to the police.
