In August, the H1N1 virus claimed five lives, while 47 died of malaria and six of leptospirosis.

A 15-year-old girl died of swine flu on August 30. Since August 1, 216 people have tested positive for the H1N1 virus.

A 50-year-old woman died of malaria on August 28 and a 25-year-old man died of leptospirosis at Sion Hospital.

On Tuesday, public hospitals admitted 431 cases of fever, 62 cases of gastroenteritis, three cases of leptospirosis, nine cases of dengue and 159 cases of malaria.
