Every station will have four escalators- two from the ground level to concourse level and the other two from concourse level to platforms.

The MMRDA additional commissioner B Venugopal Reddy said, "We have finished major part of the installation of escalators at all stations. We expect the work will be done by the end of February."

There are seven stations on the 8.8km Chembur-Wadala route: Chembur, VN Purav Marg, Fertiliser Colony, Bharat Petroleum, Mysore Colony, Bhakti Park and Wadala.

Earlier, the escalators were supposed to be operational by June last year. However, it got delayed due to technical issues.
