Rajan Ghorpade, president, Kulgaon-Badlapur Municipal Council said, “When we heard that Gadkar was living in a rented flat and felt we should do give him a house because he has made Maharashtrians proud.”
Ghorpade added that officials told him about a Basic Services For the Urban Poor project currently underway at Badlapur, where flats admeasuring 300 sq feet are available. “If the state government permits, we will gift Gadkari a flat. We will meet chief minister Prithviraj Chavan with regards to this issue.”
