The corporators on Tuesday demanded that the BMC should set up fast-track courts for addressing issues related to dilapidated structures in the city.

The debate was sparked by the recent incidents of building collapses — the latest being Shakuntala Bhuvan at Ghatkopar that collapsed on Sunday, killing one.

BJP corporator Ashish Shelar said a fast-track court was the need of the hour. “This way, the cases will be addressed soon. And action will also be taken on time,” he said.
