Teachers of the Nerul school had been on strike since last Tuesday on account of the management’s failure to pay them salaries in line with Sixth Pay Commission scales. At the Monday meeting it was decided that from January 1, 2011 the teachers will get Sixth Pay Commission salaries.

Officials from the education department, school management and non-profit group Forum for Fairness in Education attended the meeting. “We will resume work from Tuesday,” said Pratima Sharma, a teacher from the school. HTC
