Congress members have alleged that Jadhav tampered with the chits that were to decide the appointment of the chairman of local F-south and northward committee. The Opposition has demanded that the mayor should resign from her post and also threatened to move the court to prove her guilty.

Rajhans Singh, opposition leader in the BMC said, “Either Jadhav should resign from her post with honour or face no confidence motion soon in the general body meeting.”

Jadhav said denied allegations said, “There is no question of resignation as I have not done anything wrong.”

To move no confidence motion against the Mayor, one needs to get support from 50 per cent of total corporators and issue a seven-day notice period. There are 227 corporators in the city and Singh needs support from at least 113 to move the no confidence motion. He claimed the party already has support from 109 members.
