"Who wants to be on the front page of newspapers for wrong reasons. One can understand if one is featured on front page for the good work done in the constituency," she told reporters in Mumbai.

Rubbishing media reports linking the Pawars to the IPL bid made by Pune-based City Corporation's Managing Director Aniruddha Deshpande "in individual capacity", Sule said "Remember my father was the BCCI chief when IPL started and had he wanted, he could have easily bid for a team even then."

"If one is honest, one can sail through anything... I know I am honest," she said, describing cricket as "my father's other profession."

"Have you ever seen me at a BCCI event?" she asked and stated that the only 'influence' she has ever used was to "get good seats at cricket matches".

Asked why no one from the Pawar family revealed anything about the bid earlier when the controversy erupted, Sule said, "See, we were just not interested in the bid and the company itself was against it. We have the documents to prove it."
