Ranjit Achar (24), who uses the road every day, said, “Chirag Nagar and Damodar Park have numerous potholes and are quick to flood even in light rain. This causes traffic jams and it takes hours to get where we want.”

A traffic police officer said, “The road is in atrocious shape. There is a school near Premier Junction. A pothole free road would ensure there are no jams during the school opening and closing. Sonapur suffers from heavy flooding because water collects in the potholes.”
