“Just 15 minutes of rain in Andheri and the area is water-logged. What will happen when there are heavy showers?” said Chhavi Kapoor, 25, who lives in Andheri. Water-logging on the Andheri-Kurla road stretch is a big concern for residents during every monsoon.

HT accompanied Agni volunteer James John to examine how rain ready Andheri east is. The area has 20 major nullahs and around 45 minor nullahs.

We visited Krishna nullah, Shanti Nagar nullah and Kondivita nullah.
