"We have received a letter from the Goa police on Thursday and are helping with the investigations," Joint Commissioner of Police, Rakesh Maria said.

According to official sources, the two accused - Aman Bharadwaj and Anil Raghuvanshi - left Goa this afternoon by a bus and arrived in Mumbai to take a train to Uttar Pradesh.

The Goa police had this morning released the photographs of both the accused, which has been circulated to all police stations, airports and border posts.

The minor girl, who was holidaying with her mother at Arambol beach, was allegedly raped by Aman while Anil diverted the attention of the mother by striking up a conversation with her.
