Scored 35 marks in science? Can still join the stream

With the state board lowering the minimum marks required to join the stream, more students can pursue science. Students can apply for science stream even if they have scored 35 marks in the subject.

The state has scrapped the rule that said that students could apply for the stream only if they scored 40 marks.

"We have scrapped the rule to allow more students to join the science stream. We are encouraging the move as students in science stream can switch to whichever stream they choose," said Rajendra Darda, school education minister. The old rule was framed as there were limited seats for science.
