Shiv Sena will file petition over Best-Five formula in SC

The Shiv Sena on Tuesday said it was planning to file an intervention petition in the Supreme Court for the benefit of 16 lakh SSC board students from Maharashtra.

The Shiv Sena on Tuesday said it was planning to file an intervention petition in the Supreme Court for the benefit of 16 lakh SSC board students from Maharashtra. Party leaders said son of Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, Aditya, a student himself, is responsible for the decision.

“The party will challenge the high court decision in the apex court. We have taken the decision in the interest of 16 lakh students from the state. I will be heading to Delhi soon,” Aditya said.

“More importantly, the problem has created animosity between the students of various boards, damaging the fabric of the society,” he told HT.

The state government has already announced its decision to move the apex court. The admission process for junior colleges has been stalled till July 10 by the government.
