Teen drowns in a pond at Film City

A monsoon dip at Goregaon’s Film City cost Pankaj Sunil Rajput, 17, his life on Sunday afternoon.
Rajput, along with three other friends, was strolling inside the Film City complex to enjoy the heavy showers. At around 12.30pm, the four boys decided to swim in a pond situated inside the complex.
Within minutes, the deceased teenager lost control, and couldn’t withstand the water force. His friends tried to rescue him from the water, and took him to the nearby Bhagwati Municipal General Hospital, but he was declared dead on admission. No case has been registered.
