“Spots such as beaches, malls and gardens that are frequented by couples on Valentine’s Day will have tight security on Saturday. We have issued notices to the persons concerned so they do not indulge in violence against the couples,” said Dhananjay Kulkarni, deputy commissioner and Mumbai police spokesperson.

In case of any violence, the police will take strict action against the vandals, said police.

With Modi’s visit, the city, specifically south Mumbai, will see heavy police presence, which will be supervised by senior inspectors concerned.

Apart from the local police, striking forces will be deployed at strategic locations in the city. Traffic restrictions will also be in place during the visit, said officials.
