Uddhav, son of Sena chief Bal Thackeray, went through a series of check-ups and a coronary angiography, and was discharged in the evening.

According to hospital sources, he has about three coronary blockages, which might need to be surgically treated, either through angioplasty or a bypass surgery.

Till late Monday evening, the Thackeray family had not yet made up its mind on the surgical intervention, and was consulting doctors on the next course of action.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief and estranged cousin Raj Thackeray reached Lilavati hospital to check on Uddhav, and even drove him back home in the evening.

Later, he met Sena chief Bal Thackeray, which led to huge speculation in political circles that this unhappy moment could herald a political patch-up between the two.
