Vakola road rage: Accused also booked for drink driving
The Vakola police, investigating Wednesday’s road rage incident, has revised the charges against the accused, Indrajit Sawant.

The Vakola police, investigating Wednesday’s road rage incident, has revised the charges against the accused, Indrajit Sawant.
After his medical reports affirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, police has included relevant sections of the Motor Vehicle Act for drunken driving against him.
"Sawant's medical reports have confirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. Section 185 of the Motor Vehicle Act has been invoked against him," said Rajendra Pardesi, senior inspector of Vakola police station.
The police said they also recovered a bottle of rum and a bottle of whiskey from Sawant's vehicle.
According to the police, Sawant, who is currently in police custody till June 12, has denied assaulting the victim.
