A court on Wednesday transferred the investigation from Manikpur police station, Vasai, to the CID observing: “The CID should probe whether the girl’s death was an accident or an diabolic act of crime that was hushed up and shown to be an accident.”

The probe was transferred after the girl’s father filed a petition alleging foul play in his daughter’s death.
