On Tuesday afternoon, the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking disconnected Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society's power supply. This followed the revocation of the building's occupancy certificate by the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority, which said it would reissue the certificate only once the environment ministry cleared the project. The civic body also cut off the building's water supply.
