Sundersingh Bisht, 30, was at Khau Galli for his routine evening snack with his three friends — Ashok Bate, Rajesh Khedekar, Ramesh Khedekar. While Khedekar died on the spot, Bate was the 20th casualty of the blast.

“He spoke with his wife and two-year-old son in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. He is hopeful that he will recover and wants to go to his hometown,” said his brother Balvantsingh.

Doctors said Bisht had to be shifted from the burns ward after his condition worsened. “The patient is critical. He has suffered 55% burns and his lungs are damaged. One of his leg was fractured,” said Dr Ashok Rathod, acting dean, JJ Hospital.
