AR Rahman understands me as singer in a deep way: Hariharan
Ghazal singer Hariharan ascribes AR Rahman’s amazing yet deep understanding of his singing style for the kind of hits the duo have delivered together.
Ghazal and playback singer Hariharan and music maestro AR Rahman have had a terrific run together which the singer attributes to Rahman’s ability to understand him as a singer. Explaining how the double Oscar-winning composer deeply understands his singing capabilities, Hariharan said: “He knows me as a singer in a very, very deep way. He understands my singing capability and knows exactly how to stimulate me with his music,” said Hariharan.

Some of Rahman-Hariharan combo’s best songs are Chanda Re, Hai Rama, Tuhi Re, Ay Hairthe and Chandiranai Thottathu among others. Asked if one could look forward to collaboration with Rahman in near future, he said: “Time will tell.”
