Twitter’s analysis of its own social media platform revealed that Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kanye West, Drake and Fifth Harmony were the most tweeted about people in the three hours before, and during the 2016 VMAs.

As for individual moments, Beyoncé’s completion of her Lemonade medley rose above Kanye West’s new video for Fade, Rihanna’s acceptance of the Vanguard Award, Kanye’s speech, and Rihanna’s second performance, in that order.

Twitter itself was also involved in the annual awards show, having rolled out a new type of custom event sticker, whose images featured Rihanna, Britney Spears, Nick Jonas, Future, Chance the Rapper, The Chainsmokers, and Viacom’s MTV itself.

Twitter users had collectively voted for DNCE to receive the Best New Artist award, while a company blog post also profiled some of the event video taken on August 28 using its Vine and Periscope apps.
