There are quite a few birthdays today. First up is Lyle Lovett, American country singer and one time husband of Julia Roberts, Magne Furuhilmen, keyboardist of Norwegian pop band A-Ha (Take on me) and many more.

Def Leppard’s one handed drummer Rick Allen also celebrates his birthday today. Songstresses Tina Arena (Chains) and Sophie B Hawkins (Damn, I wish I was your lover) are also born today.

Last but not the least, the main man from one of my favorite bands, Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP), Anthony Keidis, turns 47 today. He has been an occasional actor as well, appearing in films like Point Break.

But it is the band that has made him the rock star that he is today. RHCP fans will be aware of the forthcoming, as yet untitled, album sometime next year and let me tell you an RHCP album is always something worth waiting for…if I may say so.
