Himesh Reshammiya plays a double role in a film being produced by Studio 18, Hhey Gujjubhai. That’s old news. He has composed the music for this flick as well. That’s not new either.

What’s new is the return of the singer-composer’s two favourite words: odhni and chunariya.

Two to tango
Reshammiya’s first hit from Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya had both the words. Nachoo odhni odh ke yaar from Tere Naam followed. Then came Ishq chunariya from Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya.

“Yes, these two words have made me famous,” laughs the actor-composer.

After a break of five years, he has incorporated them in a track for the Satish Kaushik-directed comedy .

Reshammiya is also busy with another film, Mudh Mudh ke na Dekh Mudh Mudh ke, his first love triangle. And Karzzzz.

Quiz him on whether he wants to be a director now and he shakes his head, “No, that’s too stressful.” However, he will be composing and singing in all the movies which showcase him as an actor. He asserts, “Being a composer, singer and actor, all rolled into one, works for me.”
