For partygoers in the city hoping to experience a little piece of Ibiza, David Guetta at the Eristoff Invasion festival in Pune can’t be missed. Set to perform in Pune today and Bangalore tomorrow, the festival organisers have promised the same audio-visual experience as his international shows. This includes a 49x23-foot LED screen – the biggest seen in a live concert in India till date.

Here are more details of the opening acts. Delhi-based electronic artist Dualist Inquiry and DJ Anish Sood will perform at the gig in Pune, which starts at 5pm today. 25-year-old Sahej Bakshi a.k.a. Duality Inquiry is known for his unique sound. His music is a crossover between rock and electronic.

“It’s techno with live guitars. It comes under the genre of electronic, but with rock influences. It borders a little of everything.” Bakshi says. “I guess my inspirations range from Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers to Cold Play and U2.” Ask Bakshi what it’s like to open for Guetta and he says, “Even though I may not listen to his songs everyday, I want to give him credit for making electronic dance music commercial. He obviously knows what the masses like.”

Twenty-two-year-old Anish Sood adds, “This is easily the biggest gig I’ve played. I have butterflies in my stomach. But hopefully I’ll be fine after playing a couple of songs.” Sood’s setlist primarily comprises house tunes including remixes of mash-ups and bootlegs of Cold Play, Adele and Oasis.

“A lot of Guetta fans aren’t people who go clubbing every weekend, so this is friendly music. I’ll play a relatively laidback set as I can’t even attempt to compete with Guetta,” Sood laughs. “Also check out my exclusive edit of We Are The People, by Empires Of The Sun.”
