Honey Singh glad that This Party Gettin Hot is getting revisited in Behen Hogi Teri

Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh says his song, This Party Gettin Hot, got an amazing response back in 2012. He hopes the same this time around, as the song is back in a Bollywood film.

First health issues, and now busy working on his next album — it has been almost two years since Punjabi singer-composer Yo Yo Honey Singh dropped a new song. He went missing from the music scene in 2015 at the peak of his career. The 34-year-old later admitted to have been suffering from bipolar disorder.

Yo Yo Honey Singh’s 2012 hit This Party’s Getting Hot has been picked up by the makers of Behen Hogi Teri.

His last song was Dheere Dheere Se Meri Zindagi (2015), the video of which featured actors Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor. But the Party All Night hitmaker ain’t missing out on popularity — his old tunes continue to keep his brand of music alive in Bollywood.

Honey Singh’s hit 2012 track, This Party Gettin Hot, has been picked for the music album of the upcoming comedy film, Behen Hogi Teri — starring Shruti Haasan and Rajkummar Rao. Earlier, Sonam Kapoor starter Khoobsurat (2014) revisited Honey’s song, Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, and last year’s Ki & Ka had a tweaked version of popular number, High Heel.

Reminiscing about This Party Gettin Hot, Honey says: “I remember the time [when] I was working on this song. It got an amazing response [from listeners]. I’m glad it’s now being revisited.”

A source close to him says, “Even after so many years, this song has been picked for a film. This proves Honey’s prowess as a composer, singer and musician.”
