As the world celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month in April, the American Center is organising a concert by a local western band, Merlin and Soul Yatra.

The band features Ashley Quiney on guitar, Pandit Ravi Chary on sitar, Rhys Sebastian on saxophone, Bertie D’Silva on Bass, Benoni Soanes on drums, Asif Ali Beg on vocals and Merlin D’ Souza on keyboards.Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) highlights jazz as both historical and living treasure.

In an effort to create awareness about the musical style, the month-long tribute encourages musicians, concert halls, schools, colleges, museums, libraries, and public broadcasters, to offer special programmes on jazz every April around the world.
