The hand-written lyrics of Bob Dylan’s iconic 1960s anthem The Times They Are A-Changin sold for $422,500 on Friday. The two-page notebook manuscript was snapped up by American collector Adam Sender, owner of the hedge fund Exis Capital, said Sotheby’s.
The time-worn document features four verses of lyrics, with By Bob Dylan scrawled at the top. The 1964 song, one of the most celebrated tunes of that decade, was a beacon for protest movement that challenged prevailing attitudes towards race, poverty and the Vietnam War
