The 56-year-old, who has just released her 13th studio album Rebel Heart, took part in an Instagram Question and Answer (#askmadonna) with her fans on Tuesday. During that, she admitted her turbulent romantic life has provided plenty of emotions and material to channel into her songs over the years, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
When asked, "Where do you get the inspiration to write your songs?", Madonna replied: “By living. Just living (and dating the wrong men...) (sic).”
She was previously married to film director Guy Ritchie, with whom she has 14-year-old son Rocco, from 2002 to 2008. Before that, she was married to actor Sean Penn for four years until 1989.
Madonna has also dated Dennis Rodman, Warren Beatty, Jesus Luz and Carlos Leon - the father of her 18-year-old Lourdes.
